In his painting "Feast at the House of Bosch", the fruit on the table is painted so beautifully it reminds me of the Spanish still-lifes at the National Gallery earlier this year. And Williams’ portrait of the actor Steven Berkoff is so imaginative it should be hung in the National Portrait Gallery.
