Discerning Eye

Williams will be exhibiting a self portrait in the 2011 Discerning Eye exhibition. The painting was selected by collector John Pluthero - Chairman, Cable & Wireless WorldWide and founder of Abstract Critical.

400 Women

Edinburgh Festival 5-29th August

Williams' silver point drawing of Brenda Lizeth Vera Castro who disappeared on the 22nd December, 2008, age 16, will form part of the 400 Women exhibition at Edinburgh Festival. The show is a conceptual work by Tamsyn Challenger utilising portraiture with a mass collaborative force of nearly 200 artists to highlight ongoing gender violence in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The exhibition includes works by Tracey Emin, Maggi Hambling, Tai Shan Schierenberg and Paula Rego. Curated by Gemma Rolls-Bentley and supported by Amnesty International.

400 Women

An exhibition of new work by 200 artists including Tracey Emin, Maggi Hambling, Bridgette Ashton, Swoon and Humphrey Ocean, responding to the widespread murders of women in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.


The project was conceived by artist Tamsyn Challenger in response to the brutal murder and rape of more than 400 women over a decade in the US border town of Ciudad Juárez and the region of Chihuahua in Mexico.

Each artist has produced an image representing one of the murdered women, confronting us with and safeguarding in our memory

the dead and disappeared. The exhibition is curated by Ellen Mara De Wachter, a writer and curator at 176, the project space of the Zabludowicz Collection, London.

Williams will be exhibiting a silver point drawing of Brenda Lizeth Vera Castro who disappeared on the 22nd December, 2008, age 16.
